OANDA 3.01 This is a very minor update to the Ordinary and Armorial program, adding some details for some new field types created by the Morsulus Herald (Regalia and Branch Name/Device/Badge combinations). The February 1999 version of the Oanda data (OANDA.DB) will contain these new types. The earlier versions should handle this without any problems -- at the worst the "Type" should display "Unknown", and everything else will display where it should. * If you have the 3.0 release, then simply unzip all three of the files (OandA1.zip, OandA2.zip and OandA3.zip) into a temporary installation directory, run the setup program (SETUP.EXE) and install it to whereever you currently have the Oanda system installed. * If you have an earlier version (earlier than 3.0) on your system, delete all .EXE and .DLL files before doing the above. * If you do not have the system currently on your computer, just unzip all three of those files as explained, and run the setup program. *************************************************************************** Note There is a known problem with this software and NT 4.0 -- it is not something I can do anything about just yet. (The problem is with a utility I am using to deal with the OANDA.DB file.) I am working on a 32-bit version of the software, and trying to get the person who wrote the routine I am using to translate the OANDA.DB file from the Unix "no end of line character" format to standard PC "line character at the end of each line" into a version that will work with these files. In the meantime, hang in there. The 32-bit version is one I haven't actually started yet -- I'm finishing up a higher priority project or two ... **************************************************************************** If you have any questions about the software, contact Hirsch at hirschv@mindspring.com If you have any problems with the download, contact Gunnar at kalix@ludd.luth.se In Service to the SCA and the College of Arms, Hirsch von Henford, OL, OP
