Hej!

Hoppas att allt står väl till med alla!

Jag har problem med att hitta någon som kan ta med mig till Tinget!

Finns det någon som har en plats över? (with the usual pay-to-play deal) :)

Greetings. We wish to convey the following information to you. We
would greatly appreciate your sending it on to any SCA members
having e-mail, or even copying it for distribution at group meetings.

L'Atelier des Batisseur Medievaux, a non-profit cultural
association in France, is offering workshops in ROMANESQUE
ARCHITECTURE, CASTLES, AND MEDIEVAL STONE CRAFTS
in France.
This summer eight week-long seminars are scheduled: 4 in
Provence in June, 2 in July and 2 in August in the Poitiers-Saintonge
area. Approximately half the time will be spent visiting sites; the other half
is
spent learning to cut stone (beginners and advanced levels) in the traditional
manner, with hand tools only. Beginners will learn to dress the face of an
irregular
stone for wall building, and to trace, cut, and assemble an arch. More
advanced participants will learn mouldings and columns, bas-relief
decorative sculpture and an approach to sculpting capitals. The
workshops are led by David Campbell, a sculptor and stone-cutter with
15 years experience in France, including much restoration work on
medieval churches and castles.
Languages of instruction: English and French.
The cost of the seminars is about 3600 French Francs per week. This
includes all
instruction, the use of tools, stone provided, full room and board in
simple comfortable rooms (double, sometimes triple occupancy, but
single occupancy is possible for a small supplement) in renovated
farmhouses or manor houses, and car rental (4 person occupancy) for
visiting medieval sites.
     For further information please contact:
