### HELP FOR BATTLESYSTEM.
The new system works roughly like this:

First we need to know if we hit the target:
The hit is modified by attackers attack skill, defenders defend skill
	weapon bonuses, and armor bonuses.

Weapon data (for example if you identify a weapon) is like this:

	WEAPON NAME: War Mattock
	WEAPON DAMAGE: 2d6
WEAPON BONUSES: +3 HIT, +2 DAMAGE.

Where weapon damage 2d6 means that we roll 2*6-sided dice for damage
making the damage inflicted 2-12 PLUS the 2 for damage bonus,
so the total damage inflicted with this weapon (not counting your
inherent Str and other applicable bonuses) is 4-14 points.
Soo. now we know if we hit a target. what next? AH! armour class!
If you HIT a monster(or it hits you) for say f.e.x 15 points of
damage, what does armor do here?
Answer: IT DECREASES DAMAGE!. Lets say that the monster we just
hit has ac of 9. Soo it means the armor subtracts 1-9 + 3 points
from that 15 points. We roll 7, so 7+3 points are subtracted, leaving
only 5 points of damage to

***************************** LAWS OF BATMUD ******************************

1. One should not kill other players. The killer is considered guilty
even if it wasn't he who attacked.
2. One should not kill monsters that are marked '(lawful)'.
(City-cops, shopkeepers some guards for example)

All crimes will be punished by the City-cops. The only sentence they
know of is death. Cops are capable of handcuffing players so that they
can't run away. Say killing is illegal fighting is not.

Small criminals can get rid of their criminal status by paying at the
justice hall. The hall is located at e s e e from the church. All crimes
are forgiven with time. Death is a way out of your sentence also.

First level players can't be killed because they are watched by the gods
and helped by people who feel sorry for the poor players.

Some examples of sentences:
 - Killing a city-cop will have the cops attacking you for about an hour.
 - Killing a the bank guard will give you about 30 mins.
 - Killing an second level player will get you a sentence of 3 hours.

> help criminal
concept: criminals, criminal mark

If you kill another player, or a monster with a (lawful) tag, you
will become a CRIMINAL. A criminal is subject to the laws, and will be
hunted by cityguards.

To get rid of the criminal mark, you need to wait for the indicated
time, without committing further crimes. (So, attacking or getting
attacked by citycops is not a good idea - better to leave the town for
some time.)

If you get killed, you will regain your legal status too. (Warning!
it's best to quit and re-enter the game after this, some citycops
remember faces even if they get altered by reincarnation.)

******************************* Follow & Sneak ******************************

helpcommand: follow
argument: a player

Follow a player. When you are following players you will mimic their movement.
You can stop followers by typing sneak. It is possible to follow someone
and to be followed at the same time.

Bugs: The routine is not perfect. You tend to lose the followed player easily.

See also 'sneak' and 'score'.

command: sneak

A following player is be forced to stop following. You can see who (if any)
is following you by using the score command.

See also 'follow' and 'score'.

********************************* Inform ************************************

command: inform

A toggle. If on it informs you when a player leaves the game, enters the game,
goes linkdead or dies. It's usage is free.

See also: 'who'.

********************************** Score ************************************

command: score

angry monsters, info about wimpy etc.

See also 'sc'

************************************ Wimpy *********************************

command: wimpy
argument: level

Set wimpy mode. If you are in wimpy mode, your legs will run away
if your hit points go low enough.

Level can be one of the following:
'very high', 'high', 'normal', 'low', 'very low' or 'off'.
     - very high is ALWAYS when you lose hp.
     - normal is at about half of your hp.
     - very low is about 1/5 of your hit points.
     - off turns wimpy off.

If no level is given a brief help is displayed.

Default for a new player is brave mode!

This is no secure thing. It might save you, if you have a slow connection,
or slow fingers. But we guarantee nothing.

See also 'brief'.

************************************** Brief ********************************

command: brief [weather]

Toggle brief mode. If you are in brief mode, you will only see short
descriptions of all rooms. Use the 'look' command to get the long.

Brief also affects the way you see objects. In brief mode the game
attempts to show as many objects as possible on one line. In verbose
mode every item is shown on a separate line.

If argument weather is given, toggle on/off weather display in room
descriptions.

Default for a new player is verbose mode, with weather reports.

See also 'wimpy'.

****************************** Blood bath *********************************

Blood Bath, the contest of true chaos

The idea of Blood Bath is to gain points by killing other players. The person
to earn most points wins. You get points according to the level of the
person you killed, plus an additionl bonus for killing higher level players.

If you are killed by another player during the Blood Bath you don't lose
any experience or stats. You might lose the money you are carrying, so you
are adviced to use the bank. If a monster kills you during the contest you
suffer the normal penalties. City-Cops don't worry about playerkillers
during the Blood Bath. You can't pray at the church during Blood Bath.

During the blood Bath there will be a demon in the church. You can ask
for equipment that will help you during the Blood Bath. Type 'blood equip'
to get the equipment.
