After more than a year of struggle to complete the game, we are
finally ready to proudly present it as open. The first time it saw
the light of the day, was in May 1992. It was then just close to
nothing with errorous bugs and features. It is today a top modern
roleplaying game for people with internet access.

We have tried to make Midnight Sun unique, and I think we have
successed rather well in our intent. The game is based on an ancient
theme and will always be so. Midnight Sun is using the english
language, mainly to be able to atract people from all over the world.

At the present time we are growing both in the numbers of players
and in size. We hope that YOU will help us making it even better and
  larger.

Here is what you need to do to play (from the prompt type) :

    telnet midnight-sun.ludd.luth.se 3000

Then just add your name, password and email address (optional).
After that you can enjoy the realms under the never setting sun.

All administrators of Midnight Sun welcome you!
      Galadriel, Yuric, Mike and Yggwilv.

If you have any questions, you can contact anyone of us:

PS. What is a MUD? Well, it's an interactive roleplaying game based on
text conversation and actions. It's common to all larger universities.
MUD originally meant Multi User Dungeon, but since it is not limited
to dungeons only, many prefer Multi User Dimension instead. Just a
    matter of taste. ;-)

A mud has a large ammount of characters, which adventures the space
of the game, solving quests, chatting...well, to fairly understand
one has to try oneself. A warning though, it can be addictive. ,-)

Today, there are many types of muds as lpmud, muck, mush, abermud etc,
and they are similar to each other. Midnight Sun is a lpmud.
