: Does anyone know of libraries of 3D objects to be shared/traded/sold/etc.?

Well, there are several resources available, but there are no really good
comprehensive libraries of real-time 3D models that I know of.

My company, Vector Graphics, produces custom-built real-time 3D models (aka
"virtual worlds") for the VR and game industries. We don't keep a
library of the models we build because most of our customers are
publishing our models, and need to own all rights to them.

Unfortunately, this is true throughout most industries, causing a large
part of the 3d modeling that is done today to be unavailable to persons
such as yourself.

You can contact stock houses such as Viewpoint Datalabs or Arcuris (see
any trade magazine for contact info), but you may find that it is cheaper
to design the models yourself, then have them built by a company like
mine (or Worldesign, or a free-lance 3D artist).

Good luck, and be sure to post if you find any good libraries of
real-time models!
