Subject: TECH: References wanted for research on chord style keyboards

In an effort to expand the input capabilities of the VR system I am
putting together (from Amiga parts, Nintendo parts and other affordable
things), I would like to put in some compact form of key based input device.
Specifically, I am looking for information on any hemispherical or spherical
4-7 switch input devices which use a combination of key closures to specify
individual "keypresses".  If I have the definition of "chord keyboard" wrong,
I would like to know the name of the device I am investigating.

I have access to at least one online library system, but would really
appreciate something more to go on than "keyboard, computer" as a subject
lookup.  Any pointers to help me narrow my search will be greatly welcome.
