The HCI Division is located within Logica Cambridge, the research and development centre for Logica worldwide. If you are the kind of highly motivated, adaptable person we are looking for, able to apply your HCI skills effectively to solve clients' problems, then we can offer you varied and stimulating work in a wide range of business areas and on projects of all sizes ranging from small consultancy assignments through to multi-million pound system development projects. Reporting to the division manager, you will join a team whose acitvities include: - providing HCI consultancy to project, marketing and sales teams throughout Logica - participating in the analysis, design and prototyping of user interfaces being developed as part of Logica projects - developing, and making available, user interface prototyping methods and tools - maintaining and developing Logica's User Interface Development Manual - giving training courses and leading workshops in HCI for the benefit of Logica's staff and clients - taking part in R & D and other activities whose purpose is to develop the HCI skills and techniques needed by Logica in its future business. Candidates must have a relevant degree; a further qualification in human factors or ergonomics is desirable. A computer science qualification or significant experience in computing is essential. The successful applicants will have at least five years' experience as an HCI consultant in industry with a strong involvement in user interface development. They will be good observers with the ability to present ideas with confidence and to adopt a persuasive and flexible approach.
