The screen resolustion of the Genesis is 320x200, but as it's been
pointed out, this might not necessarily be the resolution of the HMD.
(Just a thought: might Sega be using the same LCD displays for their
HMD that are used in the Game Gear portable?  Anyone know the
resolution of these?)
