From: jew5001@venus.tamu.edu (WILLIAMSON, JOHN EDWARD) Subject: APPS: Guess? Jeans sponsors VR Date: 25 Apr 1993 21:27 CDT Organization: Texas A&M University, Academic Computing Services Guess? Jeans is using what appears the Dactyl Nitemare VR system as a promotional gimmick. It will no doubt be appearing in your neighborhood soon, as it only makes a day stop at each of the Foleys Department Stores in Houston, TX. The ad copy goes on to say that "The Virtual Reality machine will change the way you see the world. Forever." And you can try it for free, with the purchase of any Guess? item ($48-$68). Obviously, we have all been pursuing the wrong financial backers for our VR projects. I'v just signed a deal with Coco Chanel and Calvin Klein.
