The ANON SALON, the South of Market location, has become
famous for gatherings that the San Francisco Chronicle described
as " the sort of party that you remember years later!".  YLEM is
honored to be invited to host one of these events.  Nancy Frank
is our impressario for the evening and she has planned the 
following program of interactive art and multimedia:

BURNING MAN:
        Each year a group of artists, paganists and full-moon
        crazies build a giant 4-story tall wooden sculpture of
        a man.  They then burn it with great fanfare in the 
        Black Rock Desert during Labor Day weekend.  Find out
        why, see videos and slides of last year's event, and
        register for this year's Burning Man.

HANS REISER and BEVERLY REISER: Come Human, Spin in My Web!
        A ride through an artificial intelligence persona, an
        interactive installation using sound, video and computer
        graphics.

ELEANOR KENT:  Knitted Fractals
        Computer graphics translated into textures of wool.

DANIEL KOTTKE:  Cyberlights
        Programmable LED message modules.

KEN RINALDO:  Kinetic and interactive sound sculptures.


LUCIA GROSSBERGER MORALES: La Diablada
        Excerpt from a new CD-ROM.

KIT MONROE PRAVDA:  Electronic imaging that combines the 
        best of painting and photography.

WOLFGANG GERSCH:  Transition of a Sphere and Moments of Creation
        Contemporary paintings of the Age of Technology.

LARRY SHAW:  Vintage computer graphics from the 70's. 

ED SEVERINGHAUS:  The BodySynth.
        A stand-alone MIDI that functions as a system for 
        transforming movements, gestures, and other muscle
        efforts into sounds and effects.  These sound are
        translated into dance by CHRIS VAN RAALTE.  Between
        performances you can strap on the BodySynth and 
        discover your hidden cybertalents.
