Subject: TECH: Displays using Fibre Optic Bundles

I'm currently working on a design proposal for a VR HMD.  I've been
looking into a boom mounted system which would allow bigger displays
for better resolution(No need to Magnify).  I'm considering mounting
the displays (order of 8") to the boom, to get the image infront of
the eyes i've been looking into Fibre optic bundles.  I'm having
difficulty obtaining information on wether this is possible and the
type (if any) of degredation to the picture quality.

If anyone has information or contacts please let me know, especially
if this has been done before.
