Subject: DESIGN: Distributed Virtual Environments Survey


We are preparing a comprehensive review of distributed virtual
environments.

If you know of any "distributed" virtual environments, please
send me a description and, if possible, a point of contact. 

 The purpose of this review is to find out the true extent 
the technology and the different categories of systems. For example:

- Research 
- Medical
- Business (e.g. architecture) 
- Software development (toolkits)
- Games (e.g. muds)
- Military (e.g. DIS)

We are also interested in the kinds of network technology (
media, protocols) that is being used by these systems.
