From: Robert Jacobson Subject: INDUSTRY: Hughes sells entertainment simulator biz to Thompson CSF Organization: WORLDESIGN, Seattle The WALL STREET JOURNAL for November 26, 1993, reports that Hughes is selling its Rediffusion Simulation Ltd. subsidiary to Thompson CSF S.A. of France (yes, the very same formerly associated with VPL and Wave- front, through its Thompson S.A. parent). This includes its game and amusement rides activities, once the inventor (with LucasArts) of the magnificent but too expensive Mirage simulator ride. Hughes is keeping that portion of the company that provide air traffic control and training applications. And so the March of Progress continues.... Bob Jacobson
