From: Alan Wexelblat Subject: PUBS: Correction (was Re: APPS: Representing Complex Hierarchies) Organization: Advanced Human Interface Group I'm embarrassed to find myself correcting references to my book, but I think possibly something got crossed up in the communications between Kim Fairchild and Gurminder Singh. The cited references were: >Fairchild, K. M., Serra, L., Ng, H., Lee B. H. & Ang, T. L., "Dynamic >FishEye In formation Visualizations", in Virtual Reality: Applications >and Explorations, Academic Press, 1993a, pp 161-177. >Fairchild, K.M. "Information Management Using Virtual Reality >Based Visualizations", in "SoftWhere: Applications of Virtual Reality", >Academic Press, 1993. The second article does indeed appear in my book, but the title is wrong. The book, published by Academic Press, is titled Virtual Reality: Applications and Explorations. The title given in the second reference is an earlier working title for the book. As far as I know there is no book with that title. As for the first reference, it may exist. AP/UK published another book with a very similar title to mine, but I don't know the exact title... [How embarrassing for this information gatherer! :( My apologies to all involved. I was moderating from home and didn't have the books with me to check references. The correct citations are: Fairchild, K. M., Serra, L., Hern, N., Hai, L.B. and Leong, A.T. (1993).
