Subject:  DESIGN: Whole Hand Input - Current research info sought

Hi everyone,

I have recently began research into the problems associated with the
design/exploration of 3 dimensional objects/worlds using 'whole hand'
input. Primarily, I am focusing on problems associated with
spatiality, point of contact etc.

In short, can tactile feedback and muscular tension be effectively
replaced by visual and aural feedback?

I would appreciate any contact with individuals who are investigating
such areas. Alternatively, references to existing systems, papers etc.
where such problems have been tackled would be a great help.
