For anyone interested, the prices continue to drop.  The other day in
Shinjuku they were selling the Casio handheld TVs (about a 1.5 inch
screen in a walkman sized case) for 8900 yen ($80 US).  For reference,
electronics in Japan are seldom cheaper than elsewhere, just released
a little earlier.
