This is interesting. It seems to me that other than entertainment
applications the most promising customer for VR is government and
academia. How do these grants $($50K/qtr - $200K/2 yrs) compare to
academic grants?
  
This  seems to be a rather small amount to me. If you come up with
new technology while supported by a SBIR do you get to keep any
patents or does tthe government own them? I'm not doing VR myself and
doubt I'll ever apply for some SBIR but am curious about these
