I am looking for information (like the official title and or
development company) of a recently funded project by the Army.

Briefly the specs were:

the computer had to be a '386 or better
be durable/rugged
be the size of a deck of cards
have a display (sort of a Private Eye type)

I was under the impression that the machine would be strapped to the
soldiers arm and allow them to obtain at the very least data from the
globabl positioning satelite system as well as some additiona data and
communication.

The product was funded, it was announced in weekly PC press (Info
World, PC Week, etc) in 1990 or 1991.  And I think the contract wwent
to a company in Houston, TX.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.
