Well imagine being ina tank, or helicopter and not being able to see directly behind you. Now imagine if you had a VR helmet, and had soem form of sensor to your rear (the vehicle), you could be in a Virtual World and be able to turn your head and see all around, and not have to pop your head out or up.. (thatis if your not overly hot). Also it could on wind screens and better placement of crew.. Of course the sensorts could get damaged or dystroyed or ?? (always have a back up plan) but using VR, you can have total lockup of a vehicle, and not have to worry about what is out there, also no more periscope strain. the VR can be rigged so that it can convert IR, UV, and such to visual bands. So yu can see, in many ways like Geordi La Forge on ST:TNG, but in VR).. === Ghost Wheel - nsmca@acad3.alaska.edu These are just my ideas and no one elses, so you can lock me up and only me..
