I have it on good authority that there is a small army of federal
researchers and policymakers following this discussion on sci.virtual-
worlds, eager to participate but only lurking.  This isn't the Gulag!
You can voice an opinion without speaking for your agency or otherwise
committing an unpardonable act.

Policy, by definition, is the people's business.  People don't hang up
their citizenship when they hold a public office, they enhance it.  We
honor your contributions.
