The topic of this month's meeting is VR and Persons with Disabilities. (surprised?) The VR and Persons with Disabilities Conference is being sponsored by California State University at Northridge as part of its efforts to highlight the application of emerging technologies to the development of systems for persons with disabilities. Dr. Harry Murphy, Conference Organizer, Founder and Director of the CSUN Center on Disabilities will be the featured guest. Other speakers to be announced. We are pleased to announce that all VeRGe members (VeRG'ns) are invited to attend the CyberEdge Journal Virtual Reality Product of the Year Awards and Reception prior to the VeRGe meeting at 5:00 PM in Salons G,H,I & J. The host will be none other than the incredulously fabulous Ben Delaney, Publisher and Editor of CyberEdge Journal. We are even more pleased to announce that Dr. Harry Murphy extends an open invitation to all VeRG'ns to attend this great conference for only half the price of regular admission! That's a savings of nearly $150! (Please contact tchilds@well.sf.ca.us for further info.) The conference is the most significant meeting to date in this area with more than 35 presentations addressing the applications of VR technology to persons with disabilities. We would like to thank the benevolent Dr. Murphy for his continuing support of VeRGe. For more information on the VR and Persons with Disabilities Conference, please call 818-885-2578.
