Well, I AM the type to slam products, and while I think don't think
the VictorMaxx people are really doing VR (tm), the left-right
tracking isn't as useless as you first think.

If you use a 6D head tracker and a 6D hand tracker, one typical
problem of doing full-body kinematics is if you track the head and the
hand, you need to guess where the shoulder is in order to determine
arm kinematics.  Left-right tracking gives you the one key degree of
freedom you need to make a sensible guess.
