Virtual Reality Systems ~93, SIG-Advanced Applications, New York. Vision 21, NASA Lewis Research Center, Ohio Also in March Loeffler will visit SinTef and Norwegian Telecom Research, Oslo, Norway. And in April, Japan activities are in planning. The project investigates the basis for multiple users located in distant geographical locations, to be conjoined in the same virtual, immersion environment. It employs hardware associated with virtual reality, and utilizes WorldToolKit, a virtual world development program, available from Sense8 Corporation. Technical demonstrations were conducted for the Expedition 92 Conference, Munich, Germany, and for the World Design Conference, Ford Motor Company, Dearborn, USA. The Ford applications include a virtual design studio, test driving track, and showroom. Forthcoming technical demonstrations include: International Conference on Artificial Reality and Tele-Existence, Tokyo; Machine Culture, Siggraph, USA; and Third International Conference on Cyberspace, USA.
