David Blair's much discussed full-length video, "WAX or the Discovery of
Television Among the Bees" gets its Seattle premiere Friday, March 19, 1993.  

It will be shown at the JewelBox Theatre, inside the Rendevous @ 2320 2nd
Avenue (between Battery and Bell on 2nd in Belltown).  Showtimes are 7:30
and 9:30 pm, but get there early!  Tickets are available at the door,
$6.00.  You must be 21 (it's a bar).

Appearing with WAX is "Word Band Spoo," a performance group which uses
language as texture in conjunction with musical and vocal improvisation. 
It performs pieces of varying lengths, using elements of popular culture,
political news, and fiction, intertwined into a rhythmic whole.

A compilation of short videos will also be shown.

This stuff is a special event in the exhibition "Perceptions & Our
Machines," now appearing at multiple venues in Belltown.
