Subject: TECH: Fujitsu graphics board turns Sun into virtual screamer!

Reports out of the UniForum, the Unix conference, are that Fujitsu
has produced a graphics card for the Sun workstation that, in its
highest manifestation, produces 5 million polygons/second -- several
times the poly production of a RealityEngine or an E&S Freedom.
 
As one Sun enthusiast put it, "The lunatic fringe finally belongs
to Sun!"
 
Applications set forth by Fujitsu include "virtual reality," in
addition to the usual scientific visualization, etc.
