Subject: INDUSTRY: IBM comes up with virtual reality toolkit

According to an article in clari.nb.trends, the Newsbytes online
commentary, researchers at Watson Research Center has come up with an
easy to use toolkit capable of being applied in many fields.

The toolkit, which runs on an IBM RISC/6000 workstation, can be used
by remote users, thus facilitating collaborative worlds.

There are no plans currently to commercialize the software, but the
possibility exists, according to researchers.  The toolkit was
announced at the New York conference, VR Systems 93.
