The goal of this workshop is to provide a forum for discussing issues related to the realization of these next generation systems. Participation in the workshop is limited and by invitation only. We can accommodate 5-10 additional participants who have interest in the workshop's topics. If you would like to participate, please send a statement (limited to 2 pages) to ngits@ie.technion.ac.il AND ngits@isr.berkeley.edu, describing your ineterst/work in the subject area(s) described in the workshop's program below. ABOUT HAIFA: Haifa, Hebrew acronym for "Beautiful Beach", is located on the biblical mount Carmel, overlooking Haifa bay. Haifa is the 3rd largest city in Israel (following Jerusalem and Tel-Aviv) and is famous in its views, parks, forests and beaches. Haifa is a center of the high-tech industry in Israel, it has two major academic institutions: Haifa University and the Technion. Day temperature in Haifa in June is usually 25-30 degrees (77-86 F), and nights are pleasantly warm, so light clothing is recommended. REGISTRATION FEE IS: Early Registration (received no later than May 10): US$150 Late Registration : US$200 The registration fee includes the following: 1. Participation in all the workshop sessions. 2. One copy of the workshop proceedings. 3. Three lunches. 4. A Welcome Reception. 5. A Social Event (including dinner). 6. Transportation between the Technion and the hotels. On July 1st, there will be an optional all-day sightseeing tour in the northern part of Israel. Estimated cost is US$50 (including meals). ACCOMMODATION: A block of rooms has been reserved in two hotels on Mount Carmel, in Haifa. NOF Hotel is located at the "center of the Carmel" overlooking the Haifa bay.
