The enhanced version of the Maxus Metaphor Mixer, created by
Avatar Partners for Sense8<tm> Corporation, is being used to
demonstrate the power of Intel's new Pentium<tm> processor.  The
Pentium<tm>, the successor to the highly successful 486
microprocessor, contains 3.1 million transistors and is able to
run computer programs between two and five times faster than
its predecessor.

According to an article appearing in the San Jose Mercury News
yesterday, "In a demonstration of the new chip Monday, Intel
Senior Vice President David House used a Pentium-based machine
to run a 'virtual-reality' stock analysis program, pulling the
audience through the computer's screen into a three-
dimensional world of floating corporate symbols and a talking
'agent' that responded to spoken commands."
