A while back, I wrote about my experiments using a Sound Master II card
from Covox to add voice recognition to REND386.  COVOX has apparently
released a software package called "Voice Balster" which will add voice
recogntion to both DOS and Win 3.1 programs using any Sound Blaster
compatible card.  See the April 1993 issue of _Byte_ page 205.  This
should allow nearly everyone with a sound card purchased in the last
year or two to experiment with affordable voice recognition.

An article on adding voice recogntion to REND386 is scheduled to
appear in _PCVR_ later this year.  Given my past experience with
the claims and misrepresentations from COVOX, I would highly recommend
that if you purchase this software, that you so in a manner that will
allow you to return it for a full refund should it be incompatible with
your system.  (Their Sound Master card is advertised as being Sound Blaster
compatible, while their manuals and tech support mantain that it is not
Sound Blaster compatible.)

With that caveat, the software comes with a headset/microphone and
