Date: 30 Apr 93 21:33:06 GMT Organization: Drexel University, Philadelphia When I was in Florida, I experienced some awesome 3D sound stuff at Disneyworld/Epcot. You can enter different booths and put on headphones. The sounds were incredible. I was able to visualize everything in my head. Things were all around me, voices behind me, in front of me, dogs barking to my left... They had multiple voices going at once. My question is, how is this accomplished. Is the headphones I was wearing a standard headphone. It seemed it. Or did they contain multiple speakers facing multiple directions. Or was the whole system software driven, using different pitches, volume, and tones to get this awesome 3D effect??? If this is software, are there any software packages that can creates this with headphones, or surround speakers? If hardware, how, who, where can I get stuff for this and can I create my own sounds with the hardware? Thanx in advance. bergerde@dunx1.ocs.drexel.edu
