From: S.M.Clark@lut.ac.uk Subject: CONF: VR Exhibition at HCI'93 Date: Thu, 13 May 93 18:34:45 bst Virtual Reality Exhibition at HCI'93 ==================================== HCI'93, 7-10 September 1993, Loughborough University, UK The annual HCI conference brings together researchers and practitioners, from both industry and academia, who are working to improve the effectiveness of computers as tools for people. The conference is a major international forum for both the people-oriented disciplines of human factors, psychology and ergonomics, and the computer-oriented disciplines of software engineering, systems analysis and project management. Computer users from other disciplines are also welcome! We are particularly interested this year to bring together the engineering, computing and psychology strands of HCI. The HCI series of conferences is held under the auspices of the British HCI Group (formally the Human-Computer Interaction Specialist Group of the British Computer Society). The proceedings of HCI'93 will be published. VR Exhibition In recognition of the growing interest in the HCI community in "Virtual Reality" the conference organisers have decided to devote a large area of the exhibition space to Virtual Reality related technologies and systems. It is hoped that both academic and industrial VR developers and users can be brought together to demonstrate their work and to enable the conference delegates to experience VR first hand. Incentives such as free conference registration will be offered to participating academics and reduced exhibition fees to industrialists.
