From: robert@acsc.com (Robert Grant) Subject: APPS: Multiverse Mailing List Date: 18 May 1993 19:01:41 GMT Organization: Advanced Computing Systems Company Hi everyone, This is to inform anyone out there who is a Multiverse user or wannabee (:-)) Multiverse user and is not currently registered as a member of MUDL (pronounced muddle :-) Multiverse Users/Developers List) that they can join by mailing me. Requests should include your name, your platform and your interests as well as your prefered email address. For that you will get a list of the current MUDL members and some background info - plus access to all the latest goings on with Multiverse - like when I'm actually going to do some more work on it! :-) Here's the objectives of MUDL: The objective I have in mind when starting this group is to provide a forum for discussion of various aspects of Multiverse, be they problems with compilation/porting, or enhancing the code. Basically anything related to Multiverse goes. The list will be unmoderated, and will be as good as the participants make it. I'm hoping that we'll be able to develop some exciting software together and get it running all over the place! Already the software is running on a variety of platforms: RS6000, Sun, Solaris, DEC, Sony, SGI and HP, and will hopefully be running on more soon! In the future there may need to be sub-groups generated that wish discuss esoteric aspects of the software, but for the time being the cross- fertilization that will hopefully develop from having everyone talking together should create some interesting discussions. Flames shouldn't be a part of this group - we're all on the same side, I hope! :-) Please try to be receptive to peoples ideas/problems and if you can, help out. This could be a lot of fun!
