**** SCOPE *****

     NR'94 is the first international workshop discussing the
technology, services, and social and cultural issues for the next
generation communication environment focusing on networked reality in
telecommunication that lays beyond virtual reality. The next
generation of telecommunication paradigms should be based on a
communication environment which provides a comfortable and empowering
virtual space with enough reality for communication. Various aspects
of Networked Reality will be discussed, including the technical,
social, and psychologial aspects.
    The purpose of this workshop is to provide a place to present,
exchange, and discuss the above ideas and topics.
