I just used two Casio model 570 LCD TVs with some fresnel lenses.....very crude, but kinda fun....If you afford it, go for 2nd generation TFT TVs (normally about $250 each) rather than the passive ones. If you do go for better TVs, it may be worth checking out Edmund Scientific catlogs for better optics. (An issue of PCVR carried a good article on this). VGA-to-NTSC (or whatever) converters vary dramatically in their performance, and many are overpriced. See if you can try before you buy...Also, make sure that you get a TV with video in! That way you can use composite video rather than nasty RF... Alternatively, we may well be shipping our $1000 by Spring (no promises, though)... Marc.
