From: zyda@cs.nps.navy.mil (Michael Zyda) Subject: EVENT: Science Discovery Day at NPS, the Home of NPSNET-IV ... Organization: Naval Postgraduate School, Monterey Saturday, the 9th of October, is Science Discovery Day at the Naval Postgraduate School in Monterey. From 9:30am to 3pm, all of the research labs are open to the public for interesting science demos. The NPSNET Research Group is participating in this open house with a full-up demo of NPSNET-IV with extremely loud sound. Bring your earplugs and stop on by! The NPSNET Demo is in Spanagel Hall 506. Spanagel Hall is the 6 story building with antennas on it near the corner of Sloat and 9th in Monterey. For those of you familiar with Monterey, Sloat is the street that has 10 foot high burlwood sculptures on one end and Spanagel Hall on the other end. For those of you coming from the direction of Frisco, take 101 south to Prunedale, 156 W to Highway 1 south. Take the Aguajito exit. Turn right on Aguajito, right on 10th, take 10th 3 blocks to Sloat and jog left to the 9th St gate. Spanagel Hall is in front of you. Also, don't miss the space refrigerator in the basement! 160db sound as coolant gives new meaning to the term "chill out". Oh, yes, again don't forget those earplugs! mz
