From: Kenneth Pimentel Subject: INFO: WTK and CDK [Carl Grinstead sent in the information request below on Sept. 2. I asked Ken Pimental of SENSE8 for an answer. I have posted both below, separated by a line (=-=-=). For more information on WTK and CDK check the sci.v-w archives, Ken's postings -- May 2, 1993 and April 5, 1993. This is the beginning of a weekly digest called "Virtual-worlds Info Booth", the full announcement will be posted next week. -- Toni Emerson, Moderating Group] =-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-= From: grinstea@rintintin.Colorado.EDU (GRINSTEAD CARL FRANK) Subject: WTK or CDK on Xwindows Hi, Can anyone tell me if either or both the Cyberspace Developers Kit(CDK) or the World Tool Kit(WTK) run under Xwindows. Thanks, Carl =-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-= ANS: CDK is only available as a DOS product. WorldToolKit is available on SGi, Sun, DEC, DOS and Windows platforms. The Unix versions of WTK sit on top of the relevant host environments: SGI:Motif, Sun:Openlook, DEC:OSF all of these make use of Xwindows at the lowest level (i think).
