I haven't had a chance to get the faq (this is a toll call) yet, so
apologies up front if anything like this is covered.  Anybody know
of/heard of research and/or publications dealing with Level of Detail
Modelling?  We'd like to optimize polygon usage on objects which are
too far away to see in detail.  Please mail replies and if anyone else
is interested, I'll summarize.
