From: John Wann Subject: SCI: Paper on HMD problems, etc. We've had a few electronic requests for more details about our experiments on HMD problems etc.. I've just realised that most of the experimental detail and discussion of some of the implications is in our UK Meckler '93 paper. This paper also lays out most of the VR-Perception work we are currently doing, including experiments on the information support required to aid efficient navigation and locomotion, and the quantification of quality of "immersion". The ref for those wanting more info is: Rushton, S. & Wann, J. (1993). Problems in Perception and Action in Virtual Worlds. pp43-55 in - Virtual Reality 1993: Proc. 3rd Annual Conference on Virtual Reality in London. Antony Rowe, Wilts. I'm sorry but I don' have any reprints at present, but I can try and make an ASCII text copy available to anyone would mails me direct, who can't find a hardcopy.
