Accessible from the Superscape home page, http://www.superscape.com, Visualiser Release 4 provides real time 3D interactive visualisation of virtual worlds. Also available for downloading are six fully interactive virtual worlds with a new virtual world available every week from 3 January 1996. Current worlds include a record store, shopping mall, cube game, petrol station and swimming pool. Once the world is downloaded, users can move in real-time through the 3D environments and interact with objects. Ian Andrew, founder and VP Operations of Superscape VR plc comments: "One of Visualiser's strengths is in the unsurpassed performance on standard PCs. Previously we have had to rely on one to one demonstrations and exhibitions to communicate this fact. Now by making the free Visualiser available on the Internet, millions of people have free access to see this for themselves. We expect to have reached over five million installations by the summer." The Visualiser also provides support for DDE (Dynamic Data Exchange), so that data can be passed easily to and from the Windows Visualiser and other Windows-based applications such as Excel and Access. Visualiser virtual worlds are created using Superscape VRT, the company's flagship VR authoring solution for building virtual environments and complete VR applications. VRT contains a suite of integrated editors, has VRML output and a library of Virtual Clip Art objects that include behaviours.
