Hi. We run a Virtual Reality retail shop. We carry both the CyberMaxx
180 and the Virtual I/O HMDs. To compare the two is kind of tough. You
really should go put them both on your head and see what you
think. The wider FOV in the CyberMaxx helps the immersion, but it
takes a while to get it tuned enough to look as clear as the i-glasses
do and the CyberMaxx's extra weight and awkward balance constantly
seem to destroy the effect when what I am doing dosen't require head
tracking. While watching a movie, I always find myself fiddling with
the CyberMaxx instead of watching the video. The i-glasses are fixed
focus while the CyberMaxx requires you to manually focus the
optics. Suprisingly, we sell just as many CyberMaxx HMDs as we do
VIOs. The VIOs tend to go to people who have a lot of people who want
use them (you know, those large Utah families), and the CyberMaxxes
tend to get paired with single users.

Personally, I love the CyberMaxx on my computer, and the VIO on my
VCR.
