VRML 95 - Attendee Registration Information

PLEASE NOTE:
Attendance at VRML 95 is limited to approximately 250 people
based upon meeting space limits. We expect to reach this
limit early, so be sure to send in your registration form as
soon as possible!

Should we reach our attendance limit, further requests to
register will be placed on a waiting list. On November 30,
any registrants for whom we have not received a registration
fee will be cancelled and those on the waiting list added.
Correspondence regarding these cases will be handled by e-mail.


VRML 95 will be held at the San Diego Supercomputer Center
(SDSC) at the University of California, San Diego (UCSD)
December 13-15, 1995. The three-day program will be
presented in two parts:

Technical session
-----------------
The technical session, Thursday and Friday, December 14-15,
is the heart of the VRML 95 Symposium. Activities include
presentations of peer-reviewed original technical papers,
vendor exhibits, the attendee demo room, and the technical
reception.

Registration for the VRML 95 technical session includes:

  Technical paper presentations on December 14.
  Lunch on December 14.
  Dinner at the technical attendee reception December 14.
  Technical paper presentations on December 15.
  Lunch on December 15.
  Vendor exhibits December 14 and morning of December 15.
  Attendee demos December 14 and 15.
  A copy of the conference technical papers proceedings.

Roundtable discussions
----------------------
Wednesday, December 13, prior to the VRML 95 technical
session, will be devoted to roundtable discussions.
Attendance for the roundtable discussions is by invitation
only, based upon acceptance of a peer reviewed "white paper"
submitted in advance. Please see the contributors
information for white paper submission information.

Roundtable participants must register for the technical
session portion of the symposium. For no additional fee,
roundtable participants will receive:

  Lunch on December 13.
  Dinner at the roundtable attendee reception December 13.



Registration Form
-----------------
To register for the VRML 95 Technical Session, please do
the following:

  1. Fill out and submit the on-line registration form.
  2. Send in your registration fee by November 30 (see below).

To keep symposium costs down, VRML 95 is using the Web as
much as possible for symposium correspondence and publications.
VRML 95 is one of the first conferences to do this, so please
be patient as we work out the bugs!

correspondence regarding their registration:

  - Registration confirmation. Upon submitting the electronic
    registration form, attendees will see an HTML page
    confirming receipt of their form.

  - No paper copy of this information will be sent out.

  - Attendees should then send in their registration fee by mail.

  - Fee confirmation. When we receive your registration fee,
    we will send you email confirming your paid registration
    for VRML 95.

  - A paper receipt will be mailed to your address as well.

* Fee reminder. If we do not receive your registration fee
by November 20, we'll send you a fee reminder by email.
If we do not receive your registration fee by November 30,
we will be forced to cancel your registration. If this occurs,
you will be notified by email.

* Advance program. The symposium advance program is on-line now.

* How to get here. Directions to the hotels should be provided
by the individual hotels.  Each of the hotels will provide
daily shuttles to and from the conference. Some brief directions
are available on-line.

* On-site information. Registered attendees should plan on
arriving for the Technical Sessions by 8:30 am, December 14.
Roundtable discussion attendees should plan on arriving by
8:30 am, December 13. Once on site, attendees will pick up
their badges, papers proceedings, and a final schedule for
the symposium.


Registration Fees
-----------------
The registration fee for the VRML 95 technical session,
December 14-15, is $225 per attendee. There is no additional fee
for invited participants in the roundtable discussions December 13.

A limited amount of registration fee assistance is available.
Please check the appropriate box on the registration form to
request further information.

Additional tickets to the technical session and roundtable
discussion receptions are available for $20 each.

Additional copies of the paper proceedings will be available for
on-site purchase.

Registration fees must be paid by mail. Please make checks payable to:

please mention the name of the symposium VRML 95 to receive the
symposium rate of $81.00 per person.

San Diego airport (Lindburgh Field) to the hotel, as well as service
to and from the University of California, San Diego (UCSD) campus.
