From: tim@tetherless.com (Timothy Clark) Thanks for ALL the responses... To summarize the features of the Hydraulic Motion Platform... - it occupies a 4ft X 6ft chunk of space - it will do +35-40/-10 degrees Pitch and +/-60degrees Roll - it is driven off either the Joystick directly, or through a PC interface which is supplied with the platform - the cylinders move at just under 20inches/sec... sorry, but I haven't as of yet figured out what this works out to in degs/sec for the two axes. - it has FULL control over acceleration and deceleration in both axes with 10bit D/As for each control valve... - it will support and move in excess of 750lbs. (with the current motor) - it requires a 10AMP 120VAC Single Phase circuit to run on. I used oil rather than air or electric actuators to be able to generate high thrust at fairly rapid speeds... and have good acceleration.
