Hello,

my name is Andreas Steinbuch, and I am currently pursuing a degree in
the field of Information and Computer Science at the University of
Karlsruhe, Germany.  As a part of my studies, I am required to write a
paper on a topic within the scope of this field. I chose the Virtual
Reality Modeling Language (VRML) as the focus of my paper. It was
completed in the beginning of February, 1996.  I have decided to make
an on-line version of this paper since there is not much literature
available regarding this new technologies as of yet.  At this point, I
would like to make known the availability of this on-line version in
German. The paper seeks to give an overview of the characteristics and
possibilities of this descriptive language called VRML, as well as
offer a glimpse of the software currently available (browser and
authoring tools).  The paper can be found at the following address:
