New Module of Next-Generation Software Allows User to Evaluate
Manufacturing Processes in 3D Environment

Gothenburg, Sweden -- January 22, 1996 -- Clarus AB announces the
release of Clarus Manufacturing, a virtual reality software program
that allows users to evaluate a multitude of manufacturing processes
in a real-time 3D environment with audio support. Clarus
Manufacturing is an add-on module to Dallas-based Paradigm
Simulation's Vega. Both Clarus and Paradigm Simulation products
include an easy-to-use environment for building 3D visual simulations,
virtual reality and other real-time visualization applications for use
on Silicon Graphics workstations.

Clarus Manufacturing offers users the ability to conduct environmental
and ergonomic studies, train staff regarding new product lines,
prepare immersive visualization analyses of assembly sequences, create
semi-automatic products (real person and digital environment), and
create marketing and packaging processes. Clarus Manufacturing also
allows multiple user access and provides a library of real-time
optimized robots, environments and control panels. Users are able to
interact with whatever virtual manufacturing environment they select
based on the detailed CAD data provided.

"Clarus Manufacturing offers users the ability to immerse themselves
in a manufacturing environment, whether it is studying the effects of
automation or environmental changes," said Stefan Hallin, president of
Clarus AB. "Corporations now have the opportunity to fully analyze
various aspects of the manufacturing process, even before automation
is implemented or the factory is built," Hallin added.

Clarus Manufacturing is adapted for use with ROBCAD's application
modules. ROBCAD is a 3D graphic engineering software platform for
designing manufacturing processes. Developed and sold by Tecnomatix
Technologies Ltd., a world leader in the Computer-Aided-Production
Engineering (CAPE) market, ROBCAD facilitates concept analysis, layout
design and robot programming, prevents design errors, cuts cycle time,
improves overall quality of the entire manufacturing process and
ensures that what the user sees on the computer screen is what happens
on the production floor. ROBCAD's approach combines process-dedicated
design tools and working methodologies, which increases engineering
productivity and production quality. ROBCAD offers a full range of
products dedicated to various industrial processes, including
spot-welding, painting, arc-welding, teleoperation, co-ordinate
measurements machines and drilling and riveting. Tecnomatix customers
include BMW, Mercedes Benz, General Motors, Chrysler, Ford, Toyota,
Boeing, Caterpillar, Comau, Kuka and ABB Robotics.

Clarus AB, based in Gothenburg, Sweden, specializes in real-time
interactive visual simulations and virtual reality, focusing on
application solutions for engineering and industrial use. Clarus also
offers custom development of databases and applications as well as
training, support and consulting in the real-time simulation field.
Clarus is also the manager of the European Operation Center for
Paradigm Simulation, Inc. Clarus is owned by Prosolvia AB, a Swedish
company with 170 employees specializing in the field of numerical
simulation. Clarus customers include Volvo, Ericsson, ABB Robotics,
BMW, Volkswagen, Aerospaciale, Thomson, Renault, Celsius, Telia and
Silicon Graphics.

Founded in 1990, Dallas-based Paradigm Simulation, Inc. is the world
leader in visual and audio simulation and virtual reality products for
use on Silicon Graphics computers. Vega and AudioWorks2 are recognized
as the premier software for development of these applications.
