Bentley selects RenderWare to deliver real-time 3D rendering to
MicroStation 95 users.

Guildford, UK. March 11 1996 -- Criterion Software today announced
that Bentley Systems, Inc. has licensed RenderWare to provide the
real-time 3D software rendering technology for QuickVision?, the
rendering accelerator for MicroStation 95.

Ray Bentley, Vice President, Bentley commented "We evaluated the
various cross-platform real-time 3D rendering solutions for Windows?
95 and Windows NT?, DOS and Mac and selected RenderWare as it delivers
excellent performance, stability and ease of use".

RenderWare's strength lies in its ability to provide real-time 3D
graphics on PCs without the need for a 3D hardware graphics
accelerator, thus opening up a substantial installed base of PCs as a
target market for 3D applications. Furthermore, when RenderWare
detects the presence of a 3D accelerator it transparently accelerates
the application to even higher levels of performance, at greater
resolution and color depth. With over 700 developers, RenderWare is
the most widely supported 3D API for Windows 95.

"MicroStation 95 is a world leading engineering product and we are
delighted that Bentley has selected RenderWare to provide real-time 3D
rendering for the 200,000+ MicroStation users," said Mike King,
Criterion's Vice President of Marketing.

Any MicroStation 95 user that works in 3D - including architects,
mechanical engineers, industrial designers, civil engineers, and plant
designers - will benefit from the spectacular performance of
QuickVision. In fact, rendering is so fast that users can perform
virtually all design and viewing operations while in rendered mode.
For example, rendered designs can be dynamically rotated, edited, and
assigned new materials - all in real-time and without resorting to
wireframe mode. Also, animations can be built and previewed in
real-time.

QuickVision, the RenderWare based real-time 3D rendering accelerator
for MicroStation, is available immediately and at no cost to Windows
based users of MicroStation 95 and MicroStation Modeler?. It will be
available on other MicroStation platforms later this year.
