I'm a bit concerned about the use of hypish statements here. This is especially true for ANNOUNCEs post made by companies. I'm not targeting any particular company here. I would just like to bring every one to think about it. Phrases like "we, at X company, the leader of Y VR products .... are announcing our new..." are to my sense quite hypish and tend to irritate some of us. We had a great opportunity to see this irritation in the "SGI Evangelist" thread. I proposed to our moderator, Toni Emerson, to investigate the possibility of imposing some short of hype limits to the ANNOUNCE type posts. I think it would make this place more enjoyable.
