Hi, There is a great chance that you don't see much of an improvement because the card is not accelerating the 3D at all. I've been looking around a bit these past weeks about the 3D protocols like 3DR, OpenGL,... One very important thing that I found is that any of these protocols will only work if you have the card's driver for the given protocol. I.e. If you want a 3DR software to be accelerated by a 3DR compliant 3D card, you still need the 3DR driver from the card's company in order to interface the 3DR hardware part to the 3DR software part. This is a reason why I didn't saw any speedup on my 3D Blaster using 3DR demos. I've been told that Creative labs didn't released their 3DR drivers yet. From what I could see, there are a few 3D cards that are shipping and that offer the needed drivers at this time. So the best thing is to wait a bit to buy accelerator cards for the PC if you can. The PCI version of the 3D Blaster is coming out in June 96 by the way. I will update my 3D cards analysis web page (see my web links bellow) to reflect all these new concerns and more. Pay these pages a visit in a week or two. By then I should have had time to update it. I want to thank Dan Wagner for his kind help. Also the IAL team at Intel for some 3DR precision's, thanks.
