I disagreed with the flavor of the SGI release, but not the release
itself.  SGI rightfully sees itself occupying a central role in the
evolution of VR.  It has been a mainstay of activity in the field
through some pretty lean times, when other workstation manufacturers
either did not support or actually abandoned the field.  The appoint-
ment of Linda Jacobson as VR Evangelist was news, and welcome news.

This press release wasn't hype, IMHO.
