From: Claudio Kirner Subject: CFP: WORKSHOP ON VR - BRAZIL Date: Sat, 12 Jul 1997 17:43:34 -0200 Message-ID: <199707121943.RAA14510@power.ufscar.br> I WORKSHOP ON VIRTUAL REALITY - WRV97 Federal University of Sao Carlos - UFSCar Sao Carlos, SP, Brazil, November 09 - 12, 1997 INTRODUCTION The First Workshop on Virtual Reality is being organized by the Virtual Reality Group of the Computer Science Department - UFSCar, to serve as a forum for discussions on VR projects being developed by the group and its partners, sponsored by CNPq-PROTEM-Phase III, CNPq-RHAE, and FAPESP. In order to disseminate information in this area, the workshop is being extended to interested researchers. Planned activities include: invited national and international mini-courses, international tutorials, technical sessions, and VR demonstrations of the work being developed. CALL FOR PAPERS Authors are invited to submit original papers related to the various aspects of Virtual Reality. Topics of interest include, but are not limited to, the development of VR software and hardware, man-machine 3D interaction, and VR systems and applications. All accepted papers will be presented at the technical sessions and published in the Proceedings of the Workshop. SUBMISSION INSTRUCTIONS Researchers are invited to submit papers in English or in Portuguese in the following format: A4 paper, single column, 3,5 cm for upper margin, 2 cm for bottom margin, 3 cm for lateral margins, letter size 12, Times New Roman type, or equivalent, simple space, and no page numbers. The first page of the paper should contain the paper title, author(s) name(s), complete address (phone, fax, e-mail) for all authors and abstract. The text should start right after the abstract. The paper should be limited to 10 pages. Papers may be sent by regular mail or electronically (via e-mail or ftp).
