AIMS: This series continues to provide a unique forum for the presentation and discussion of work on CSG techniques and applications. For this third conference, we aim to emphasize the contribution that ideas from CSG are making to solid modelling and CADCAM as a whole, in particular the way in which techniques based on point-sets yield benefits such as robustness. TOPICS include but are not limited to: Theoretical foundations of modelling; Creation of point-sets, including deformations, blends, Minkowski sums and fill operations; Multi-dimensional and cellular models; Feature representation and recognition; Conversion between representations; Techniques for rendering and interaction; Robust modelling software and hardware; Applications in manufacturing and elsewhere; Modelling interfaces and protocols. SUBMISSIONS may be research papers or reviews. Note that, in contrast to previous conferences in this series, FULL PAPERS and not abstracts are required initially. Papers should not exceed 4000 words or 15 pages of proceedings. All contributions will be refereed by the Programme Committee, and minor revisions may be requested. The Co-chairs will select the final programme from the referees' reports. The deadline for submissions is: FULL PAPERS BY 30 SEPTEMBER 1997 Contributors should expect to receive referees' reports by early November, and camera-ready copy (incorporating revisions) will be required by December 31. Submission implies a commitment to present your paper in Winchester; early travel plans and authorizations are suggested. Presenters will receive a discount on registration, which will be at the same rates as CSG 96. The CRC format is available from the organizers at the address below, and will in any case be sent to the authors of accepted papers. The Proceedings should be available at the conference, and will be published in hardback, uniform with the proceedings of CSG 94 and CSG 96 (available at reduced prices to mark this call).
